I know UGA scales your grade, but how exactly? Do they add 0.5 to GPA or the AP class average?

If its to your GPA, thats a lot of points! So for someone with a 3.5 GPA and three AP classes, thats a 5.0 GPA right!

Also, when they say their average GPA is whatever, is that after its been scaled?

Thanks!

add .5 of a GPA point to every AP class. That means -

If you get a B in an AP class instead of 3.0 it is a 3.5.

If you get an A in an AP class instead of a 4.0 it is a 4.5.

Then you just average that grade with your other grades to get your GPA. Im not quite sure how you ended up with a 5.0 from a 3.5...

Ha Ha Ha, I see now, OK, that was dumb! Ha ha ha ha, so 3.5 will turn to a 3.54, LOL!

One more question. Do they recalculate your GPA using only math, science, language arts, s. studies, and spanish, grades? Or, is it your overall GPA?

only core... Math/Science/Social Studies/Foreign Language/English.
