but my major is computer science and from what I know, I don't see how Binghamton are any good with computer science...

<p>Well certainly SBU is ranked higher in CS than Binghamton. Not sure what else though. The last time I checked, they were 22nd in the nation (I forgot which rankings). But you shouldn't choose a school based solely on CS rankings. Visit both schools and see which campus feels better for you.</p>
<p>Stony Brook is better for Computer Science as well as any natural science. If you're really serious about it I'd choose Stony Brook... Binghamton may be considered a "public ivy," but Stony Brook, it seems, is much more appropriate for what you want. But again it depends on your preference.... I would visit both and see.</p>
