Hey, I'm going to be a freshman at Georgetown next year and I have a few questions:

1) Is it important that I get a fake id, and if so, how hard is it to get one in Georgetown?

2) I want to continue playing soccer but I heard that it's impossible to get on the varsity team with a walk-on tryout, so how intense are the tryouts for club soccer (I'm a girl, btw)?

3) One of my goals is to get into the Georgetown Law Early Assurance Program and the website says that most competitive applicants have at least a 3.8 GPA... how difficult is it to get a 3.8? I feel like it is impossible, especially at Georgetown.

4) I was thinking about applying to an internship for either first or second semester, but I've heard/read that internships, especially ones during freshman year, are pointless. Also, I think this particular one is 40 hours a week (yikes). Comments?

Even if you can only answer one of the questions, please do. Thank you so much in advance! =D

1) If you want to go to bars (or clubs) then yes, otherwise it isn’t. It isn’t hard to get one at Georgetown…I won’t outline ways to do it, but surely you’ll become friends with someone who knows a guy.

2) I’m not that knowledgeable about it but I do know people on other club teams (girl’s basketball and tennis) and while it was intense they didn’t think it was terrible…but again I don’t have personal experience with it.

3) Yeah, I think it’s pretty difficult unless you’re really smart/have no social life whatsoever/get really easy professors/etc. If you take the right classes and professors, and assuming you understand the material you should do well. It is possible but definitely would require some sacrifices unless you’re really brilliant

4) I don’t think internships are pointless at all, but I wouldn’t try to do it first semester. I feel like second semester I felt like it wasn’t even freshman year anymore and it was a lot easier to do more, so maybe second semester, but sophomore year (or later) would probably be best.
