I have never taken the ACT, and I will take it in December. Can I wait to see my ACT scores before sending them to colleges? Or would they not arrive in time, so I'd need to designate schools when I register? Please help. Thank you.

Help please :)

Nope, I believe you have until the day of the test to cancel the four colleges you listed. Once you are past that period, you may not cancel your scores. You can always just wait until you get your scores, but then you'll be wasting more money. It's really your call.

If I wait to get my scores before sending, will they reach colleges on time?

It depends. When do your scores need to be there? If you have a Jan. 1 application deadline, and the school says the last test date they accept is December, I'd urge you to list the schools when you register. Depending on how your schools choose to receive scores, waiting until afterwards could delay your scores as little as a day or as much as a couple weeks.

Thanks, that makes sense.

If my ACT score is worse than my SAT score, would colleges just look at my SAT score since it is better?

^^^^
Help please

A little patience, hey?

Um...probably? I think most schools will use your best test scores for admission.

haha...i was anxious
