I got accepted for Electrical Engineering. I live in Utah and go to a private school.
3.64 unweighted gpa
1270 SAT Math + Critical Reading

hey Zungra, I don’t understand how you didn’t get in.
I’ll be waiting in march to see if you get in for RD, good luck dude.

bhyurf, it’s pretty simple. My ACT was 5 points lower that yours. I was pretty upset last night but I guess I’ve gotten over it. RD here I coooome

but, comparing to others on here, your ACT was still one of the highest (second or third highest I’ve heard someone getting).
I didn’t think computer science was THAT competitive.

you’ll totally get in RD. I’d doubt the integrity of the admissions people if you didn’t.

I wonder if APs make a big difference. I don’t know if it just applies to engineering students, but my son who is a freshman, says they have 13 quarters to complete their degree or they are out. My son is a CSC major who got in with a 2.9 GPA and a SAT 1450/1600, but he also came in with 63 units because of APs. In fact on his portal it says he his a sophomore without taking a college course.

That actually seems do-able. That’s 3 years + one quarter isn’t it?

4 years and 1 quarter.

Let’s bring this thread up again. Decisions are coming out already… soon for engineering. probably by the end of this week?

so anyone?

nothing yet
