For everyone who submitted their app

whew - i hit the submit button last night at 11:30. i sent in the last of my financial aid stuff this morning.

it feels so good to be done!

My second choices are UMich, Emory, and Wash U

Sigh, I'm being crushed by school work...sending my stuff in now means nothing to me :(

I thought that after 6 APs laster year, 5 would be cake...I was dead wrong. Still have As though, MUHHAHAH!

I'm applying RD but Penn IS my 1st choice...2nd is either JHU or Notre dame. :D

welll goodluck to everyone applying ed,only 1 month and 10 days until we find out... btw happy halloween everyone!

hi...is there any way you can find out whether everything penn needs is received...i know some colleges lets u check it online...what about penn...do u call or whats the procedure?!?! thanks for the help

I know they send out green postcards to tell you what they have received.

do you know when they send these postcards out?

The Penn app. states this about supp. materials:

"If you have artistic or creative abilities that you would like us to be aware of, you may supplement your application with additional written, visual, or audio materials. We ask that you include your U.S. or Canadian Social Security Number on all enclosures and limit written or visual material to one or two sheets no larger than 8½ x 11". We regret that we cannot retain or return these materials."

I sent pictures (digital photographs) of a project I built and it was the topic of my essay. Should I select "yes" when it asks if I'm sending in supplemental material? It's not a piece of artwork or audio file; rather it is pictures illustrating the grueling physics project I constructed last year. What do I do?

i didn't even answer my own question: mine's northwestern. but if i don't get in ed to penn, i probably won't get in there either.

KRabble -I would definitely put "yes". You are including a visual supplement to show off a creative effort.

you know what's really annoying? a lot of colleges either have a dec 10th deadline for RD, or make you send part 1 by dec 10th and pay the fee in order to be considered for an interview. hello.....we're waiting on penn!!!!!

Just pressed the SUBMIT Button! SCORE!!!!!:)

Now the grueling, nail-biting waiting period can begin!

bluehunnydew - I commented about this on a recent thread. Believe me, they do it intentionally both to raise $$$ and increase the number of apps to enhance their rankings. And yes, it is very annoying!

Congrats to everyone who has finished or will soon finish their ED app!

Finished Upenn and UMich(2nd choice) apps late last night- I'm so happy I'm finally done! It's out of my hands now- the die is cast, my whole life is in front of them- I hope they find it worth their time.

Now to sit back and wait....

2nd: Georgetown, Cornell, Pitt

Yale, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Case, Tulane, U of Rochester, Carleton

NOT PENN ST (;))

I'm gonna be so poor with all those apps :(

I have $320 in application fees. 8 colleges (and one of them is even free!).

I'm applying to about 8 schools with free applications. And if people keep sending them to me, I'm gonna keep filling them out.

My dad would cry if I applied to more than 8 (My 8 are purdue, case, of course penn, jhu, notre dame, miami (ohio) and 2 more ohio ones that you wouldn't know about). I had to beg to get my dad to agree to that many!

I'm sending my senior picture in as the picture to attach with my Penn application. I know it's cheesy but it's the only one I have! I noticed it says "proof" written in the background (because it's only a proof). It doesn't interfere with the picture or anything, and it doesn't cover my face or anything of that nature. Would it make me look really ghetto if I send this picture in? I mean.. I don't think it looks that bad, but you never know.. opinions?!
