Am I too late, or is this still early enough?
How would we know? Every college has different deadlines for receipt of financial, aid applications. Check your schools.
To clarify, I meant in terms of “first come, first serve.” Are funds usually already given out this quickly?
In terms of deadlines, I’ve met them all.
Some claim schools, especially big universities, run out of extra federal funds (SEOG, work study) immediately. You’d have to ask at your school if they have. At my daughters’ schools, that was not the case.
You have to ask schools.
Okay, it seems to vary on a case-by-case basis. Thanks for the responses!
Don’t take any chances if you depend on all the aid you can qualify for.
Do your FAFSA and state grant forms if necessary now and use estimated income and then update info after tax returns are filed.
The FAFSA just opened 10 days ago for the upcoming school year. I highly doubt it’s too late for anything but I’d get it filled out with estimates ASAP.
