For getting into a top Law School (Ivy-league)

What are my chances of being successful in an application for a LL.M degree at the following (I am a UK applicant, with a 2:1 degree (i'm not sure what this is GPA wise) from top English university.)

Harvard
Yale
Columbia
Chicago
Stanford
NY
Penn
Cornell

Thanks.

P.S which of the ones above would you portray as the "best" for a LL.M degree? If you could split them into a hierarchy of ranks, that would be great.
Also, which university is the best for employment?

i dont know if im right, but in my mind and experiences, Harvard Law has always been synonymous with greatness

I heard that Yale Law is very prestigious.

for law school, yale trumps harvard.

yale > harvard.

It's usually Yale, followed by Harvard and Stanford.

Yale >>>>> 2. Harvard, 3. Stanford, 4. Columbia
In terms of selectivity Yale is far more difficult to get into than any other university in the country. This is partially do to the fact that Yale Law is approx. half the size of Harvard Law.

Yale

Harvard
Stanford

Chicago
Penn
Columbia

NY
Cornell

Basicly like that.

I might move NYU up with Chicago, Penn, and Columbia. I think US News ranks it around the 5th best law school in the country. But i could be wrong. Everything else looks good to me.

I would move NYU up too.

All are good. Still, while Yale Law is the most prestigious and best law school, Harvard Law School has always been, and always be the ultimate symbol of academic prestige. People equate HLS with being the most dificult and prestigious school in any field. I mean in legally blonde, she went to HLS, not YLS. Its ironic considering the fact that HLS is number 2.
