I have a letter of recommendation from the Dean of Music at the Yale School of Music, and both the Harvard and Brown Music Deptartments know this.

I would be 3rd generation at Yale.

I've worked as a research assistant for well-known Harvard grad student for the past summer (and will again this summer).

I forgot some composition awards
2x ASCAP Morton Gould Comeptition Finalist (National Composition Competition)
1x Pike’s Peak Young Composer’s Winner (Also a national Composition Competition but recieves much fewer entries than ASCAP)

he has a rec letter from the dean of music at yale and he would be the 3rd gen to attend. im pretty sure he has a great chance at yale…at the very least, it would be much, much higher than “low chance”

As a legacy at Yale, it’s by far your best shot other than Reed and Michigan which should be safe if you don’t need aid. If you’re truly a music prodigy, I assume your submitting an arts supplement, they may all be interested.

I think you will get into Yale. You might be able to get into CalTech. The rest I think you have a pretty good chance of getting into them. Also, check out some of the links below for individual’s college statistic’s:

i agree with everyone who say you’ll get into yale. having a letter of rec and family going there helps you A LOT. your SAT score is good too, props. i think you have a decent shot at harvard too, and your ECs are strong. ditto with caltech- three of my friends got in this year and their resumes were a lot less impressive than yours. good luck!

Change my mind, I think that “low chance” for Yale should be somewhere between the 50-80 % range now. I’ll blame my original misdecision for the fact that I didn’t read carefully the first time.
