For HS class of 2017, will colleges prefer to see new SAT over old SAT?

Can you clarify? What schools are invalidating test scores?? Not heard of that. There are some schools that are indicating they will not accept the old SAT scores (Va Tech for one) but that doesnt “invalidate” the test you took (took, I assume you mean, not gave). Are you international?

bro whats the difference in not accepting and invalidating?
and yea I’m international
and apart from virginia tech theres a college in my country that announced the same.

Invalidating a score suggests there was something wrong with your scores-- like they suspected you cheated. Thats what invalidating a test score means.

I meant invalid for those particular colleges. In that context there’s no difference in invalidating a score or not accepting because a college that says it won’t accept your score is invalidating it. Really don’t know why the use of grammar is the biggest concern you got from my comment.

Because what you said has a different meaning here. I asked politely and your responses are rude. Understand you are angry but take it elsewhere.

nevermind, sorry if you found that rude. What is, is. Every students in my shoes just needs to suck it up I guess.

Most schools will accept the current sat. They might not superstore old and new but that’s unclear. There are thousands of colleges and universities. Drop the ones that won’t accept the old sat and move on.

Many colleges have said they will accept both the old and new SAT. The old SAT should leave you with plenty of schools to choose from. I think that focusing on the ACT is still the safest route, though.
