For letters of reccomendation, does CMU require one from your humanities teacher?

I am applying to CIT and MCS, and my two letters of recommendations are from my math and physics teachers (I expect them to be very good as I am a very strong student on both their classes). My question is should I get one from my LA/History teacher (if it is required or recommended), or will that not help my chances?

CMU only requires one recommendation from any teacher who taught you any academic subject. I thought they required two when I applied, but CMU's office of admissions told me otherwise.

I think that getting a recommendation from a science and a humanities is a very good idea. If both recommendations are good it will show that you are strong in science, which is most important, but will also show that you are a well rounded person who excels in all subject areas.
