was it 2 ways a rectangle could be placed inside the circle? i would like to clarify this answer

I thought it was infinite.

Yeah, I put infinite.

I put "infinite" also...

no, the question asked "how many other rectangles can be placed in a circle?" so, there r 6 ways since there are 6 letters/sides, and two rectangles are there. so, it should be 4. unless u r talking about a different question. i dont no what im talking about. i dont even remember what i was thinking when i took SAT. lol.

I know for sure that there are infinite ways a triangle can be inscribed in a cricle, but it asks for the number of triangles whose perimeter is 12... I'm confused...

i dont think there are triangles. just rectangles. i dont remember the question explicitly. why were there letters on the circle?

My mistake, I mean rectangles...

I put two but the answer is infinite (or 4+) because a rectangle can be spun around infinitely inside of that circle... poop

ah! thats a good way to look at it.

why were there letters?!!!

oh well. i am happy with math score i got on last SAT. i just needed to focus on reading this time.

WAIT!!! for the rectangle didnt it say it the problem that the rectangle had to contains the given points on the circle

yes! i remember. so it cant be infinity?

yeah, i agree with dazedandconfused. it should be 4.

"WAIT!!! for the rectangle didnt it say it the problem that the rectangle had to contains the given points on the circle"

no? I hope not ;)

"WAIT!!! for the rectangle didnt it say it the problem that the rectangle had to contains the given points on the circle"

yes.

it cant be 4 because you could only draw 2 rectangles that were not already drawn

no it didn't, it asked how many rectangles of perimeter 12 could be inscribed in that circle, and gave two rectangles inscribed as examples. the answer is there is an infinite amount, or "more than 4"

Thank god....peoples was scaring me Answer was definitely infinity, but I could be wrong (only checked it twice...)

u can just rotate the circle any which way and the rectangle wud still have the same length and width, thus the answer was infinite or letter choice (E) More than 4
