Those of you that have transferred, what are you doing a/b housing. Housing is a BIGGGGG deal to me because I will be very far away from home and want to live on campus for a year (or both if I'm lucky) to be able to meet people easier. However, I read this on Michigan's website:

Transfer students with over forty credits will not be accepted by the Residential College. To learn more about the Residential College click on this link.

That's discouraging. I'll be applying with like 70 semester credits...I'm not sure how Michigan's credit system works, but it seems like I'll have more than they'll allow for me to live in a residential college, which was what I was looking for. :(

What are those of yall that are transferring this year doing for housing? Run into the same problem?

:D you never help me mojojo! you just tell me I'm trippin all the time.

I know I trip out alot. I'm a freak! But seriously...I'm considerin takin Mich off my list now bcuz housing is such a huge deal and all the other colleges I'm applying to offer housing and many guarantee it.

11...but if I cut off Michigan it'll be 10. And I'll probably replace it with another. Overall the apps will be around $700...but since I never actually applied to schools coming out of HS, I figure it's worth it.

i had around 45 credits and since you'll transfer as a junior, you'll only get offered northwood 3, they are these ghetto apartments a bus-ride away from the main central campus that no one wants to live on. however, when you get your housing contract, don't sign it and find someone else's contract to take over.

there are always going to be students with housing assignments that decide to move to an off-campus apartment that need someone to take over their dorm room. that's what i did. i got my northwood 3 non-social crappy apartment filled with grad students and international students that don't want to talk to anybody changed to a very social, right-smack-in the middle dorm on central campus.
