Have any of you received anything?? im going crazy waiting for the mail and feeling so bad reading about all those who have recieved word. Congrats to those who were accepted. Post here if you have not recieved anything and you live in NY, NYC schools even better.

lol I just replied to this same thread you posted on the NYU board
I live on LI and haven't received anything yet and I'm getting anxious...so far I've heard from 3/8 schools - Bing, NYU, and Northeastern, but I'm still worried about Fordham...I hope it comes soon. Good luck btw, w/NYU and Fordham.

thanks, yeah i posted on both because im anxiously waiting for them. But ok, now i dont feel all that awful about fordham, but nyu = rejection lol

i live on LI as well, and i received Fordham early action, but am still awaiting NYU =/

I got GSP'd by NYU :( and Fordham is more of a safety for me but I like it more than NYU lol

^wow nice job lol either would be great for me as they are both in nyc. Man still nothing today, damn baruch keep sending me chess sets and shirts Lol.

oh to molly, from the nyu thread though i posted this but i didnt. I think im rejected because i was aiming for GSP to begin with my sat scores really suck. and if i by chance got in i would probably be like the lowest scorer.

But for fordham, i just applied as undecided because i didnt know whether to do Chemistry or Physics.

Yeah I love the city as well but since I'm from the island and in the city all the time, it's not that big of a deal to me, unlike those damned annoying tourists.

don't worry sat scores aren't always the deciding factor, gpa and ap classes (or lack thereof) are more important. my sat was pretty decent (2150) but my gpa was like a 3.4 UW.
I picked undecided as well, but I indicated in my short answers for nyu that I'm considering a major in English, just b/c my english grades have always been awesome, it's my best subject and my eng teacher wrote my recc, plus I have all these writing awards...but to be honest I would never major in english lol. Good luck, hope you get into CAS or at least GSP.

don't feel blue, you guys. I got wait listed and then rejected from NYU last year. I was pretty upset w. myself because i was really aiming to go to NYU. It was supposed to be a good match, but i guess it wasn't.
Now that I'm in fordham, i don't feel so bad about being rejected. It was probably for the best. The great accessibility to faculty really is a big plus when you are uncertain in your career plans.

im sorta in the same position
GSP'd at NYU , got into Fordham Early Action, right now Fordham's my top choice but I have some confusion.

thanks molly i forget my exact score but im an 1800 something, my lowest score was CR 490, but i think my writing was 600 something and math 700 something. So thats why i fear i wont get it. But its cool, fordham is still my number 1 choice, we'll see what happens, if anything theres always a transfer....

We live in NY state..........still waiting to hear - RD. Has anyone heard from the BFA Fordham-Ailey program yet?? This is the last one we are waiting for.

I like fordham, but my parents not so much, they say it's an average school and not worth the money, they want me at nyu.

I live on Long Island too and have not heard back. I thought I had pretty good crudentials for Fordham, plus my dad went there. But this waiting is getting me worried...! AHH!

by the way, I'm a RD applicant.

molly, fordham is not an average school. Tell your parents are the rankings and credentials of fordham in comparison with nyu. However, i was just rejected from nyu and thoughts are just running through my head. ahhh!!!!!

CSiu, I know Fordham is not an average school, I think it's excellent. My parents, however, are very set on NYU (my dad esp loves the school, got accepted to Stern as a teen and was going to attend but it was too expensive for him so he went to CUNY Baruch).

So personally I love Fordham but to be perfectly blunt, credentials-wise, Fordham isn't ranked as highly as nyu and most people consider nyu in that light, as a top school. Personally, I don't care that much about rankings, but both are good schools and I would be happy to go to either one.

got nyu today, rejected

Fordham left, wishing for the best.

would be great if all the Ny'ers can post their acceptances/rejections here.

I got rejected from NYU as well. I am still waiting on Fordham.

^yeah i saw u posted right before me, ur sats were so much better than mine though in a sense. Good l uck on fordham im not so sad about nyu since fordham was my first choice anyway. But now im just really scared.

hope for all- when I applied early action to Fordham I only had an 1170 on my SAT...620M and 550CR i retook the SAT in Nov. and Dec. and did much better but did not bother sending scores after Dec. SAT scores came out because I had already been accepted...btw, I am from LI
