For People That Applied To Multiple Ivies

Or Ivy Equivalents (which we'll define as MIT, Stanford, Caltech and Duke)

I'm intereseted in seeing how random the admissions process is at elite schools. Post the Ivies and equivalents you applied to and whether you were accepted or rejected.

^^ Just because we don't see a pattern does not mean that the admission process is random.

MIT - WL/rejected
Princeton - WL/rejected
Columbia - accepted
Duke - accepted
Dartmouth - accepted
Penn - accepted (rejected from Wharton/A&S program, accepted A&S)
Brown - WL/accepted
Cornell - accepted (arts and sciences)

No randomness there - out of all of the HYPSM schools I applied to I did not get in, as well as Wharton, but I got in to the non-HYP Ivies/equivalents.

Duke - Waitlisted > Accepted
Cornell - Waitlisted
Penn - Rejected

Duke is about as competitive as the lower ivies.

Out of high school, granted this was a while ago:

Harvard: Rejected
Yale: Rejected
Columbia College: Accepted
Duke: Rejected
Brown: Waitlisted
Northwestern: Accepted
Michigan: Accepted Honors with money

As a transfer:
Dartmouth: Accepted
Duke: Accepted
Brown: Accepted
Harvard: Waitlisted
