3.9 unweighted (out of 4.3); 5.2 weighted (out of 5.9)
2250(ish… can’t believe I forgot already) SAT combined (best scores combined)
Around 10 AP classes through HS, rest were honors.

Did a few clubs; Model UN/Debate, Science teams, language clubs. As for sports, Fencing.

It’s highly-suggested that you apply early as possible; I’m not sure if it’s a rumor, but I hear it’s good for you.

I think RU posted something about what the middle 50% of accepted students were for the class of 2015; aka last year’s freshman, and it was similar;

around a 3.8ish unweighted GPA (assuming top 10% of class means top 10% of GPA) and a 2100-2200 SAT score; so 50% had higher, another 50% had lower.

3.96 unweighted
1400/2090 SAT
rank 5/395
5 ap courses, the rest were slightly accelerated

i didn’t really have extracurriculars (probably 4 with no leadership positions) and had no type of volunteer work, so i don’t think they really take those into account… or maybe they do, i don’t know. if your stats are about there or even above, you’ll be a shoo-in. i also think they use your essay only as part of your scholarship determination, but if i’m wrong, someone correct me. that’s really about it…

i actually applied for fun and got in. i chose sas. my friends who applied, wanting to get in, didn’t, so unless you’re truly considering going to pharm, don’t apply and steal someone’s spot. lol i STILL feel like a jerk. good luck!

were you guys in state or out of state?
thanks!

In state; but as far as pharmacy goes; I don’t think it matters as much since they look for talent over state; or so I heard.

Advice to u just in case u dont get in after high school its not the end of the world…if u still want to do pharmacy just work hard the next 2 yrs and maintain a high GPA and applied as school-to-school transfer…thats what i did

I know a lot of ppl that quit after high school because they didnt get into the school or program (and even some in college) that they wanted…the point is that u still have a chance to promote urself during college and go after the career and future u want

I think they like it when you take AP science classes like Bio and Chem.
This is just something I heard lol

oh and you should also check out usp (univ of the sciences in phily) or st. johns univ just incase. i heard they both have decent pharm programs, but that’s from word of mouth, so a little research would be good.

oh and i’m in-state …

zheng7456, it’s fine if you don’t want to but would you mind telling me your estimated stats?

b/c i don’t know if i will get in but i’m going to try my best for the first few months of my senior year starting in September. I think i already have decent stats but i was just wondering…

thanks!

Well i applied last semester when I was sophomore.

My cumulative GPA at that point was 3.82 and my Science GPA was around 3.9. I had a few ECs and a recommendation letter from my System Phys and Orgo Professor.

GPA was probably right on 4 (my school’s incredibly competitive so they never list weighted/unweighted, it’s the standard A is a 4, B is a 3, etc., but I’m pretty sure the valedictorian was 4.8 something or other…)
ACT was 33 (ironically the science part killed me)
AP Calc BC, AP USH, Enriched Molec. Bio, lots of classes with fancy names
Extracurriculurs…I put down some volunteer work (Guatemala for summer, gave out water for charity marathons) and only two clubs (Human Rights Club and Habitat for Humanity).
I also included a couple of letters of recommendation (more than necessary) and an essay without knowing they weren’t required.

Funny thing is, I applied late and I was out of state (Illinois) and yet I got a quick reply (it was good news). Still not quite sure what was up with the admissions committee that year…

If you already have the numbers and stats then my advice would be to stand out. I moved around a lot so I guess my transcript was “colourful”…
