For people who are mailing their apps

Quick question:

I am mailing in my application and I was wondering if I could simply write “Please view attached sheet for essay” in Form 3 and send in the typed copy of the essay? Or should I handwrite them in?

How did the ED acceptees and applicants do it? Thanks a lot.

Umm, I applied ED, and mailed in my application as well. For Form 3, I just typed, "See attached," and had my essay attached which was typed on separate sheets of paper.

Oh thats great. Makes it much easier.

Did you do the same for the "Why Brown?" essay/paragraph?

Yes. (10 char)

I mailed in my app and pretty much attached everything. I asked my regional rep when she visted my school about this, and she said it's perfectly fine for people to mail in their apps with their essays attached to the official forms. In fact, I think it's better to do this. I feel one paragraph doesn't quite describe why I want to go to Brown, so I wrote a 500-word essay (I made sure it was a majorly kickass essay so the ad coms wouldn't get bored ; )). I absolutely COULD NOT do this if I was subject to the 1500 charcter limit online or the little paragraph on the form.
