I am kinda leaning towards being a Comp Science Major. Now I have good grades, but the one problem is I just dropped my APUSH class because I had a 68 and if I stayed I don’t think i could have passed. Is there anyone here who knows how SDSU’s Admission program works?
EDIT: I am also going to try taking more AP classes senior year.
SDSU admits by the eligibility index meaning your CSU GPA and SAT/ACT test scores are the most important factors.
You need to calculate your CSU GPA first: https://secure.csumentor.edu/planning/high_school/gpa_calculator.asp
Then calculate your EI:
(CSU GPA x 800) + (SAT Math + CR) or (CSU GPA x 200 ) + (ACT comp x10)
SDSU will rank each applicant for each major based on their EI. They then accept from the top down until all the spots are filled.
An EI of 4100+ for SAT or 1000+ for ACT is competitive.
If you have an questions, do not hesitate to PM me. My younger son is a current 2nd year CS major at SDSU.
Good Luck.
