Thanks for the advice, Jimmy. I'll keep it in mind. I'm gonna take some practice tests this summer and decide whether either Lit or WH is worth taking, and which I can perform best on.

Zoooeey! Haha. Thanks! That was a really encouraging speech, really needed that :) I was beginning to lose hope.
I have a tendency to ramble on sometimes too . . who doesn't? Anyway, yep, that's very good advice. Instead of focusing on the future, focus on right now, maybe that's why we procrastinate . . we feel overwhelmed because we're thinking of too many things to do at once. Excellent reasoning, i really love this site. =)

I really don't feel as bad now that others are behind on the visiting and that completely eliminating it doesn't completely kill your chances. there's time for all of that later.

SUP miss independent! awesome song btw. welcome to the official seniors of 07 hangout thread!

Sarorah! >/ [pokes] Where have you been gurl?! :[ You're not on AIM anymore. ;-;

sneakiie!! haha yeah im losing touch with my fellow ccers . . my parents made me delete aim about 2 weeks ago. Huge argument . .
I'm hoping I can get on soon though. how have you been?? ready for college apps?

Ha ha yay you remembered who I am! =] Oh pooey. I've been great. School was out on June 2. x] I got my SAT SCORE by mail. I can't wait to get 3 SAT IIs by the collegeboard site. =] College APPS? LOL Yup! :P I know if I put my chances out, members would be like "There's no way in hell you can get in." x] What about you? ;P

Haha, I'm sure they'd say the same for me, don't worry. Why'd you get your sat score by mail?? you didn't know you could check online? And they're taking forever it seems for sat IIs . . I need to know my score since it will determine some things this fall, as to what I need to take and all. I bought this huge book yesterday, ohmygod, it's HUGE, all it has is 12 sat I tests back to back. It even makes that groaning noise when you flip to the middle of it.

I started laughing really hard after I left the bookstore. All I could think . . "who are you kidding sarah..." Haha. I start laughing in times of adversity for some reason. Like really hard, it takes me a while to stop. Must be my screwed up brain, according to my parents ..

:] I know that 12 SAT Tests. That's Kaplan right? I do check it online. LOL I loved my score. :] I just got to improve it somehow. I didn't like the Rocket Review. oo; I thought it was a joke to buy that expensive book. :P We should create our own SAT books. xD We would be sooo rich.

Yep, kaplan! Haha . . maybe someone else who's smarter than me should create one :p
They have them online?? I know this guy and he got 12 something the 1st time. (old scale). He graduated this year and after taking a kaplan course/using a kaplan book, his score shot up to 2330. Hah, pretty amazing eh? That increased my confidence in kaplan tenfold.

I just filled out the Dartmouth pre-app yesterday. I guess it's all starting now, like, for real...

Wait, Dartmouth has a pre-app? Do you think you could post the link?

I don't have a link; they sent it to me in the mail with the application packet.

Are most of you doing the online app or the paper app? And the common app doesn't come out until july, so how can you guys be starting already?

They ask for colleges to send paper application.

How does the "pre-app" work?

Also, can you apply under early action to more than one school (eg harvard and yale, both EA)?

No. Harvard is SCEA (Single-Choice Early Action)

I believe Yale is as well, but I'm not sure.

The only three schools that are single-choice early action are Yale, Stanford, and Harvard.

They ask you to send it in "as soon as you decide to apply to Dartmouth", without waiting for any other forms. It just asks for your basic personal information... name, address, prospective major, five words to describe yourself, and I can't remember if there's anything else. If you're on their mailing list you'll probably get it in the mail soon enough, otherwise they'll post it online in mid-July (according to the admissions website).

Thanks alot for the pre-app explanation.:)

So, if a school only has an "early action" option (without the 'single choice' part), does it mean I could apply to multiple schools like these under 'pure' early action?

theoneo, I posted that it was only those three the other day too but was corrected, Georgetown is SCEA too.
