<p>For sociology or overall social sciences, which school's program is better, UCI or UCSD? Please explain if you can too.</p>
<p>UCSD is a higher ranked school in psych and poli sci, so I imagine their social sciences in general are better.</p>

<p>@Veritas: Eh, UCI is alright but it’s a 45 minutes commute and I didn’t want to go there anyway. I’m only going for this quarter and then dropping out to go to UCSD in the fall. At this point, UCI is basically like a community college for me in the sense that I have no attachment to the University.</p>

<p>As far as reputation goes, both departments are about the same. You should look at the course offerings for each and see which one offers more classes that you would like to take. Also consider which place you’d rather live. I’d pick UCSD on both accounts.</p>
