For sophomore transfers, how much weight is put on college?

^ Topic says it all. For Freshman planning to transfer for their sophomore year of undergrad education, how much emphasis is put on their new found College GPA compared to their High School GPA? From what I have read in the past, first semester grades are generally "less than stellar" so do they look at your college GPA for first semester heavily? Or do they heavily consider your High School rigor still and just kind of glance at college?

I’m a transfer junior and I have not put any weight on and it looks like i will more likely lose weight or gain muscle and maybe a little weight. I also work out tho 3-4 times a week and I eat very healthy at the dining halls. As long as you stay away from sweats (donuts + cake) and soda, you should be good. I just drink water and gatorade even though i love soda (never drink it on campus).

I believe it all depends on how many credits you plan on transferring. However, most colleges will look at your college gpa more than your high school gpa.

LOLLLLLL, jkpoker. that just made me so, so happy :D

Your high school record really isn’t relevant any more. The relevant question is how are you handling college level work.

Transferring after only one year of college, actually, will often still leave weight on high school record. There isn’t a quantifiable amount besides “more weight most likely on college record,” but high school scores will still be submitted and considered which much more weight than if OP were transferring as a junior.

wow i’m an idiot. Why you should read the whole topic. OMG pretty bad

oh noooooo you ruined it I thought you were joking, you were my new best friend for that post.
