For students evaluating LACs, which offer the BEST VALUE?

Recently Kiplinger.com released its 2009 ranking for BEST VALUES among liberal arts colleges (LACs). For many students and families, in today’s challenging economic environment, the matter of which private LACs provide the best value is likely of great importance.

The following schools represent Kiplinger’s Top 25 Best Values for LACs:

Pomona

Swarthmore

Williams

Davidson

W&L

Amherst

Carleton

Wellesley

Haverford

Vassar

Kenyon

Claremont McKenna

Holy Cross

Grinnell

Wheaton

Middlebury

I would think Grinnell should be higher given the size of its endowment.
