<p>Does anyone know of a way to get money for summer programs, funding for summer studies or something? I've tried searching for scholarships but they're all for students actually going to college... </p>

<p>I know most people on here think it's a total waste of cash but when I applied to Harvard ssp, i didnt realize financial aid only covered tutition. So they covered all my tuition, but , surprise surprise, thats not even the most expensive part - it's the housing. total ripoff, ugh. So, I'm probably going to end up not going... So any ideas please? someone else on here recommended writing letters to places like wal-mart, etc. but i don't know if it'll actually work. Should i just forget about it and find something else to do this summer?</p>

<p>Anything like that would probably come from a local organization (that we online kids wouldn't know about). I know that our PTSA had a scholarship for summer studies during HS, so look for something like that (aka bother your counselor).</p>

<p>Some programs offer FAid--they would probably have let you know when they gave you free tuition. Talking with your counselor is a good idea. How about fund-raising at your local church & speaking with local groups like Rotary, Lions Club & other civic organizations in your community?</p>
