Hey guys,
ok, sorry, im sure people have asked about biology sat II's, and i think i posted on a thread a few days ago, but i really need help. My question is Ive taken honors bio, havent taken AP bio yet.. and i want to take the bio sat II next june, so i have almost a year to prepare.. Is it possible to be prepared enough to take the test and get a 700+? and also to get a 700+, im sure i would have read the AP textbooks also, right? Anyone take bio sat II without taking AP bio, and if so how did you prepare? PLEASE HELPPP..! Thank you! :)

i don't think you need to know ap material for the SAT. i took the chem test after an ap course, and i didn't use any of the in-depth stuff i learned.

i would suggest you take an actual SAT bio test this fall. if you feel you could do better with more prep, you can always cancel your scores. at the very least, you'll know what to expect.

anyone else?

barrons + kaplan
my excellent bio honors class in sophomore year

790...

you'll do fine
don't overstress about tests as i did for AP's, which i bombed.
(yeah i think i was much more relaxed in sophomore year)

lol, ya, im going to be taking AP bio except im taking in senior year.. and i need to take my subject tests before i apply to college.. duh.. lol..and im going to be a junior next year.. and i took bio my freshman year.. so eek.. i think i will start out with taking barrons, kaplans, and cliffs see, how it goes then decide whether or not to buy the AP bio books.. Thanks boht of you! :)

faithful i'm in the same situation as you, but i plan to take the test this october. i'm using barron's and PR, but maybe i should give kaplan's a try too. i took the diagnostic test in barron's today, and to my surprise, i still remember some of the stuff.

good luck :)

haha, ok good so im not the only one in this situation..! lol, good luck to you too!

I, too, am using Barrons and PR, but I am essentially self-studying. I am thinking of checking out Kaplan if I need even more help after I finish these two. My freshman bio course was far from comprehensive, so I guess I have a lot of catching up to do! Good luck to all of you guys.
