Hi,
I have been studying REALLY hard for the ACT for the past 4 months (and am retaking the test in June) and can not get my science score up!!! I have been getting a 29/30 every single time I take the section. At this point, I have taken every single test from 2015-2018. I am wondering, has anyone tried to book For the Love of ACT Science? If so, has it worked? I am desperate! I would love a 33 in science. I just need to increase my score by 4 points. I am hoping to get a 34 composite (despite getting a 30 composite on the April test :(.)
^ Just to clarify I am speaking about the ACT science section. All the other sections I have been able to improve my score by 8+ points.
My dd has found this book very helpful. Her ACT tutor said it was the best book out there by far.

She hasn’t retaken officially but her practice test scores have improved significantly.
Anyone else used this book?
My sons tutor used the 5lb Act book by Manhattan press. It’s has very good explanations…
From subset scores can you point to your weaknesses and try to strength them.
One technique my son did since math /science were a strength and English /reading were not was to build on his strengths to raise his overall score composite. That worked for him
My son took the ACT twice and got a 28 and 29 on science. Science was by far his lowest section. I bought For the Love of ACT Science based on the Amazon reviews. He worked through it with his dad and increased his science score to a 35 on his third ACT. The book was amazing for him!
