For the third UC Essay...

Is it really an essay or its a explanation of certain circumstances that affected your academic record?

Cuz the first two are like essay type but the third is confusing for me. \
Do i write about like how i transfer to a different school during my junior year?

thxs. kinda need help

No... you can use it to talk about anything, It really open ended. However, if you have things that are unusuall about your record, such as bad math grades, a bunch of U's in cooperation/work habits, etc... you get my drift. But if there are no academic problems that need to be adressed, us it to write about anything.

The given rationale is that question 3 seeks to give students the opportunity to share important aspects of their schooling or their lives, such as their personal circumstances, family experiences, and opportunities that were or were not availble at their school , that may not have been sufficiently addressed elsewhere in the application.
So, although you may certainly use this to talk about anything, I think it will be better to focus on the types of examples they provide.

True. By anything, I merely meant that the things they list are incredibly borad and in no way limit you.

Also, as a side note, I believe its the exact same question as the Columbia app asks... being open ended and all.
