For the UC's, if you are chosen from the random 10% asked to verify EC's....

They do they request that you verify ALL your EC's? Or just the ones that are major, like doing volunteer service at the hospital/library, etc.

Because if I get picked, it's going to be a pain in the ass to find people from every club I've ever joined (some of which are not possible because I switched schools).

That is why it's called random. They pick you randomly and they can pick any random item from your application. Random square, just beware.

I believe they have you choose one item to verify.

its gonna be really bad if they want me to verify something that cant be proved...for example)i tutored 2 seniors before school thru csf and those seniors graduated and the csf instructor left the school for another school...

I thought it was random in the sense that they pick a random 10% of PEOPLE. Not your actual EC's.

They randomly pick 10% of the applicants to verify their application. From that, they choose one item. Not sure whether that part is random, though.

Alright well, I'm going to assume they'll ask to verify the thing that sticks out the most among your EC's. I don't think that should be a problem.

But for the other 90% who don't get picked, that doesn't mean they won't ask to verify right? Like if you were a President of Key Club, but you didn't get picked, do you think that's big enough for them to ask for verification anyway?

Do not make any assumption about big or small EC. I know some is hard to prove than others. Your counselor may have to get involved as well. I called UCSD and they made sure I know that it will be randomly checked so they will check. Apply with the assumption that they will check on anything you'll list in your application.
