<p>For those that got rejected, stop beating yourself up! I see those who are saying if only I got an A+ instead of that A-. Chances are it would have made no difference. I find it funny how those that write in that think there stats got them into MIT. Stats alone are not enough and while MIT has a certain beachmark I think once you reach that- your in from that perspective. I have seen those with perfect SAT or ACT scores, a 4.0 unweighed GPA, loads of AP's and ranking 1/300 get rejected. So look at demographics, major awards or those that have a really good story- chances are it is what got them in (along with good stats). If you received a rejection it is really not the end of the world, you will find your place and if you still feel the way you do now in 4 years remember there is always MIT graduate school.</p>
