<p>This is particularly for electrical engineering and computer engineering majors. However, any other major is also important (yes, it can be beneficial to anyone!).</p>
<p>To all of those who are interested in taking a part of UCI's IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering) please message me with your e-mails so we can contact you in the future. We really want to recruit younger members and help guide them as they go through engineering here at UCI.</p>

<p>We don't actively advertise so please tell your friends about IEEE! After we work a few bugs, we'll be sending e-mails and beginning our meetings. </p>
<p>The normal meeting schedules will most likely be Tuesdays from 7-8pm or 7:30-8:30pm.</p>
<p>Will joining this help with (freshmen) admission to an engineering major at UCI?</p>
<p>It will not directly, but it can help you acquire other things to help admissions. But, honestly, this is a club for students at UCI.</p>

<p>I hope everyone had a very relaxing and productive summer! We will be
holding our first general meeting of the year this coming <em>Wednesday,
Oct. 8th, from 6:00-7:00pm in ICS 213</em>. Catch up with your fellow
IEEE'ers as we discuss future events planned for the quarter.</p>
