Welp. It's been 5 years since I've visited this site (I... made a new account because I couldn't remember my ID/PW). It's changed ALOT!!!!!!!!! back in 2004, which was when I was preparing for college, it was really simple.

Anyway, that's not why I'm here posting this.

I'm a weird case (or so I believe...). I got 800/800/800/780/750 for Math/physics/IIC/writing/verbal (all first time taking the tests), 5's on all of my AP's, and was accepted MIT and Caltech...

OK, OK, I'm not here to brag; I'm wondering what y'all would have done in my situation, because believe it or not, I didn't end up matriculating to either of those schools.

I came back to Korea to attend college here. ACTUALLY, let me rephrase that. THere was no "coming back" done because I was born and raised in the US, but with an extremely heavy Korean upbringing and thus spoke Korean as fluently as I spoke English (though English of course was and still is my first language as well as my language of choice). I'm now in medical school...

but I suck. My GPA isn't all that great. I am one lazy MF when it comes to stuff that's not that interesting to me (because I was really into math/programming/physics and all that business). So now, 5 years later, I'm starting to think...

Should I have gone to one of those tech schools, where I could have at least had enough "spark" to be motivated to study hard and think hard and be creative like I had been back in high school? I dunno. CC community members, your thoughts? :P

Oh and by the way, if you're one of those Korean int'l students residing in the US but return to Korea every summer break, I can help you out immensely (uh... like, getting you that score you want... or something along those lines)... especially if your parents live in Gangnam or Dogok-dong. ESPECIALLY ;). No, this is not an ad; I'm just trying to reconnect with my kin, because I seem to be a pretty unique case over here in Korea, and it's getting really lonely out here :(
