One week left. May we all get good news.
@NickFraser98 one week? are you sure?
@MiniGrace11 I’m assuming “one week” is for freshman…at least, I hope thats what they meant…or else I’m going to die lol
@kscott_2000 oh…yeah that makes sense. That would explain why TFT transfer decisions in past forums have been released about 1-2 weeks after freshmen. Since they take in such a small amount of people. Are you a film/TV or Theater major?
Hi, I am TFT Freshman, but when I go check my supplementary, it’s not even under review yet? Idk why, but I just got into UCSD. Still, my top was UCLA so I am a bit scared. Any reasons why or should I call?
@itsjackiee reasons such as? I may be able to answer your question (or direct you to someone who can).
How do you know if your application is under review? If I look at the supplement site, I see in progress in yellow an dsubmitted in bright blue but review and decision are both a dull blue. Does that mean it isn’t yet under review?
@piksla
I called the office I asked them about that. The person I spoke to said that it’s probably a glitch
@MiniGrace11 Does yours look the same as mine? Thank you for the info!
Do other people have the review in color?
@piksla Since freshmen decisions go out next Friday, I think it is safe to assume that if you are a freshman, you’ve been reviewed (or will be later in the week before the 17th.) I’ve been at my computer researching and calculating the statistical probability of the release date for TFT Transfers (if you are not a freshman) and it should be April 14th of 15th. So far I have been correct on predicting other school dates so I am hoping that this one is correct as well. It is safe to say that most applications have already been reviewed BUT they are still reviewing others AND conducting some interviews (mostly transfers at this point, I assume). The person on the phone said that everyone would have a decision within the next few weeks, so anything is possible at this point.
@piksla yes, mine is also that weird light blue color (the same as the unilluminated decision box, haha)
Okay so I was randomly reviewing my supplementals (Because I am just that obsessive) and on ALL my PDF versions and google doc formats of my life challenge essay, it’s 2 pages (the maximum amount allowed) BUT on the uploaded version on their system on the supplemental website… it spaced one of the sentences out weird and made it into 3! (the last sentence being on the 3rd page.) I googled it and apparently, this has been a glitch/bug in google’s system for like six years and they never figured out how to fix it! I know that if you don’t “follow directions” for the TFT app, you get disqualified…should I call them on Monday and ask about this? Like how do I even ask that? I had like 3 panic attacks over this between last night and today. I REALLY don’t want them to take me out of the running for a spot for something that is beyond my control. I can’t fix it; I’m a film major, not an computer science major!!! :’( HELLLLP
Don’t worry about it.
As of right now, we genuinely have no way of knowing what’s going to happen. I know that’s the worst possible thing that could comfort you right now, but I’ve basically just tried to accept that whatever happens happens. I left out a very important sentence in one of my essays and it nearly ruins the whole thing, but I’m not worried about it now. I just think it’s best if we wait for the small amount of time we have until they release admissions decisions, and if we get in or don’t, we still have contact with each other, all of us wonderful filmmakers, which will hopefully get us all work one day!
@NickFraser98 Agreed! We have to make the best of what we are given. Even if we don’t get in, I’m glad we’re all in this together! (yes, HSM reference!) lol yay for friendship!
I just found out that I got accepted to UC Riverside! Maybe that’s a good omen for Friday
@NickFraser98 CONGRATS! I’m sending good vibes to all of you guys that get your decision on Friday!
Congratulations @NickFraser98 and good luck!
@MiniGrace11 seems like we are all passionate individuals and whether or not we get in it really won’t make a difference in our success haha! Hope to meet y’all one day
Hi guys I’m also a transfer applicant for TFT as a theater major. I’m just wondering if UCLA releases the admissions for TFT transfer students before they do non-TFT’s cause tomorrow is the decisions day for freshmen applicants! If they notify TFT transfer students earlier than regular admission decisions, when would it be?
@erica37 yes, admitted TFT applicants will be notified before the regular transfer admission date. April 14th or 15th is the ETA of TFT acceptance notifications.
