<p>I m not the only junior who took APs, but only I took science and math APs. I took Ap calc and Chem2 (AP chem is not offered) and i didn't take Ap physics because they schedule chem and physics at same time. But during the summer i took the physics class at local college, i hope that will do it. Most of the students at our school tries to avoid to take science and math classes. So only a few seniors take science and math APs. That's why i don't get to do the cool things like winning awards in competition, helping in lab, etc.</p>

do not say anything the least bit like this on your app. It sounds whiny and will work against you, because frankly, you could have done competitions or research on your own.</p>

<p>That's so true. Whining on your application is not going to help you at all. If you were unable to do something and you want to mention it, do it in a positive light. Part of the application process is showing maturity. Everyone faces obstacles in life. How you deal with them and how you convey that in your application is important.</p>
