trig is pretty important

how is precalc useless but trig very important when more than 1/2 of precalc is trig?

self studied BC last year, taking multivariable calc this year.

take my word for it, you definitely need alg 2/trig (although the trig that you need can be picked up in like a week...).

precalc wasn't so important. although the trig we covered in it was kind of important i guess, but it was certainly self-studyable (haha, if that's a word).

if you were to skip a class, i would recommend precalc, but you would definitely need to make sure that you have a somewhat solid grasp of the material before going on to calc BC (calc AB goes painfully slowly, so if you take AB, you can basically just skip precalc completely... i didn't take it, but some friends took it and that's what they said.).

precal's useless because it's review.

first semester is review of 2 trig, second semester is preview of calc.

you'd do better to take ab instead of precal, then go onto take bc.

oh, see my school doesn't have trig. we don't do it in alg. 2 and we dont have a seperate class for it. so we are forced into precalc

My Math Analysis course (Pre-Calc) was amazing and really set me up for Calc AB. I had a phenomenal teacher who really taught the concept rather than the material. Best teacher I ever had. Algebra/Trig are certainly needed for pre-calc which is in my school needed for calc. So everything really builds up. That's the beauty in math, everything is interrelated.

currently taking calc bc.

Trig/Alg essential.

'nuff said.
