Hey, im trying to figure out how to budget my time... but so far ive been doing many many many ap chem free response questions and studying a lot for AP chem... how much time is actually needed for ap us and lang? Is US something i can read the week before and get a 5? etc.. how did you guys study for ap lang and us?

please don't answer a stupid post like his really........ you want to take an ap with a week of studying to make it look "good?" And of all Aps APUSH, you go do that, come back here and tell us how it goes

Way to be supportive zetsui. But you do have a point. I started studying about 2.5 weeks before the APUSH exam and only made a 4. Whatever you do don't blow off APUSH its one of the harder AP exams. I don't know about Chem but I'm guessing it isn't that hard from what I've heard about it.

AP Lang is hard because we are spending our whole semester gearing for this exam. Im kinda happy my teacher is smart and does that for us. We only do AP test stuff.

If he's good at US history, then maybe he only does need a week...how is this a stupid post...just because you're incapable of something doesn't mean somebody else is.

AP USH really depends on how much work you have done throughout the year.

Last year I took AP European History and I typed all my classnotes and homework. I did a lot of work in that class so studying for the AP test honestly only took me 3 or so days. Like one weekend I read my review multiple times, front to back (it really doesn't take too long) and I also reviewed some of my notes and some outlines. I did not take any practice tests or anything like that. It was an easy 5 because I had worked a lot.

In APUSH this year I haven't done homework for a really long time. What I am going to do (I did this for my midterm and got a 96), is spend 2 days outlining my review book. Then I'll review those outlines and some other outlines online, like at www.course-notes.org.

Whether that will work for you is questionable. I already had the AP History class before taking APUSH this year. It really depends on how much work you did this year, how your grades were, and, probably most importantly, whether or not you are used to the style of AP questions and FRQs.

I can't stand long term studying or cramming, by the way. it's disgusting

can sum1 tell me the date for Ap exams? I think it is conflicting with the SAT II but I want confirmation. thnx

The SAT for May is on the weekend between the two weeks of AP testing.

well, i havent been reading my textbook, but i have been reading review books since december pretty diligently until a couple weeks... because i started focusing more on ap chem free response practice questions.. but anywho, ive been using amsco.. but with that much prep... with are your guys' opinions on how much prep to take? (i have about 10 more review chapters left for amsco)

thanks tanman

thats kind of weird everyone has told me that apush is probably the easiest ap we'll ever take

right now we're only up to the 20's and probably out of the 75 of us taking maybe 3-5 have started studying?

I wouldnt relaly worry as long as you have been 1/2 paying attention in classe veryone I know in past years have gotten a 4 or 5 with barely any studying

Honestly, it is possible to score well on the AP USH exam with only a little study. You do need a good memory, however.

I had a terrible, terrible teacher for USH, and I did nothing in class the whole year. I studied for about 1.5 weeks before the exam with the REA book and the Princeton Review (I did about 8 practice tests, and that was really helpful. Also read the complete "summary" in rea.) I came out of the exam fairly relieved that it wasn't much harder than practice. I did get a 5. Maybe I was lucky, but it is possible.

Chem - I used Barron's book last year. That was really useful.

My sister only studied the night before the exam and got a 5. I studied everyday after soccer practice to bed for 2 weeks and got a 4. Its just a matter of how good your memory is and how well you do in the class. Needless to say my sis did better in the class than I did.
