<p>Just a gory FYI here...I "worked on swimming" for 10 years and ended up with 4 surgeries and no sport. My brain is what got me in..if you have a 1450 you can easily bring it up over 1500, D's magic number, from what I can tell. Also, D admissions gets a lot of heat for not recruiting more heavily (one of the lesser recruiters in the ancient 8) but while schools like Yale are bouncing top students for football players with 1220's like it did in a top CT public this year, D is walking away with the top students. Better long term strategy, if you ask me!
Not to say that the D alums are not huge proponents of D sports---when Iheard the swim team was int rouble a couple years back, I laughed---cuz I knew the alums would come through.</p>
