For those of you with "incomplete application status"

Cornell is currently receiving a very large volume of application materials, and we are experiencing a 2-3 week application processing backlog. During our peak application processing period from December 16 through January 24, our staff will be unable to respond to phone calls or e-mail inquiries about application materials. We will be devoting all of our time and effort toward getting freshman applications to selection committees so that they may given a thorough review. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

perhaps (heres where we find out if mods are useful or not, haha) if this could be stickied for the next couple weeks so we can avoid having the dozen or so threads where people freak out about their application status...

Bottom Line: don't start worrying until February rolls around, then give them a call if you're still incomplete.

bump.......

thanks for the info :)

ba-da-bump

wow I don't think mods do anything...we could have a huge flame fight and they wouldnt notice...if you can't sticky this mods, could you at least tell me?

one more bump so I don't see those annoying "they haven't gotten my essays" threads....

Word.

Every single one of you overzealous, overly anxious, obsessive-compulsive types needs to read this and stop FREAKING OUT about the lil online thingy...just think about the days when you couldn't even check online!!!! That's right, if you don't have something in, THEY will let you know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine that! :)

Then again, this is coming from one of those overzealous, overly anxious, obsessive-compulsive types who actually was so crazy that I felt the need to IGNORE what everyone said and CALL the office. Bad idea. Don't do it.

bizzump...

haha just curious what did they say?

They said "YOU'RE REJECTED."

hmmm....... well i waited until yesterday, january 26th, to email my admissions counselor about my second teacher recommendation (which according to the site has been missing since November...)--he was very nice and encouraged resending it (my teacher will be faxing it again today....)

I called the office when I applied ED :o ... I didn't know better

LOL, yes I was kidding, they were actually very nice about it.

Of course...yet another reason to love Cornell...NICE PEOPLE! :D

so..they updated that they received my cornell essays a couple of days ago, but they have not received my second teacher rec yet. should i wait to call? yeah i know you guys are annoyed with these questions!

Calling isn't going to help, because all they're going to do is check on your status, which is the same thing that you see online...if it's missing, they will let you know and you won't be penalized. If you're really worried, send another copy.

They sent me an email saying they don't have all of my required materials, even though I sent them a long long time ago.

This is the time to call, when they give you official warning that your application might not be reviewed. God damn Cornell.

my second teacher rec (i think my stronger b/c i had the teacher longer [hehe that sounds funny b/c my teacher was a she, hehehe]) was not recieved nor processed...but i still got accepted ed.

good luck everyone, hope you guys are as nice as you sound on your keyboard

aw yay congrats you seem nice :D

thanks :D i really try. i also love poetry ;)

Hahahahahah, wow you are RELENTLESS!
