Ahhhh i cant stop thinking about admissions. I have tiny hope because i got the supplemental because at least i know they didnt throw my application right away.god, i hope i get in

I doubt I'm getting into Berkeley. I was rejected from UCLA and UCI, but got into UCD and UCSD (Winter quarter). The numbers say I will be rejected, but I'm still gonna be depressed about it. I have a question though. I was asked for Supplemental information from Berkeley. Does this mean I was in a certain range that was on the cusp or they just wanted to know more because of what I talked about in my app?

Ahh.. I really don't know... I want to have hope but I also don't want to have hope... I got into SD, I, & Davis and rejected from LA... I just don't know :(

masterhammy, i think those who got the supplemental questionnaire are those that are on the borderline coz if they want to reject you why would they need more information from you right? its supposedly to be something that may help you get in.

"seem to be one of the few people here who applied to Berkeley and not UCLA."

^That's how I am.

sigh, didn't get any supplement, Rjeected from UCLA. Berkeley reject?!

Just stop analyzing and wait like 3 days

Because it's easier said than done.

hmmm gluck

ooh the anticipation!

Damn you University of California at Berkeley...
Btw, does anyone think people responding to those chance threads are kinda harsh? Some of these people seem to be in good shape, but others' telling them they don't have a shot is starting to worry me. :/

Both are top UC schools so both schools want the top notch students.
Therefore obviously if you are a strong candidate you have a good chance
no matter whether you were accepted to UCLA or not

I honestly dont care anymore.

If I get in... great, chances are I wont go.

If I dont get in... even better! :-D

Lol.

Good luck to everyone who is waiting to hear back from any schools still.

yeah just got into usc. i dont care about berkeley or ucla anymore :P

Man, I wish I had gotten a supplemental now, haha.

Into UCI, UCSD, rejected from UCLA

Not too worried, but I'd prefer to have a few options in choosing, other than UCSD.

^ that's the same exact situation as me!

darkdude: Same here ('cept it's UCD for me instead of UCI). I like having options (and it'd be nice to have bragging rights...), but UCSD's not bad so I won't be devastated if I don't get into Cal.

BTW, what does the page look like when you've been accepted/rejected?

Most UCs so far have had some kind of graphic or picture of happy people for an acceptance, and a blank ugly letter for a rejection.

There are two things smart people tend to do when they make mistakes:
1) They rationalize their mistakes
2) They continually punish themselves for their mistakes
Neither is really healthy.

When I received my rejection letter from UCLA my heart sunked...(honestly)
AT that moment, all I could think about was:
rejection from UCLA= instant rejection from Berkeley.
But after reading this thread I feel more relieved.
AND what's weird is that I got the questionnaire from UCB but not from UCLA..
I can't wait for the decision :(
