Im planning on transferring to the 3/2 dual degree program with the engineering school after the Fin. Econ Major is finished. And although I have taken 1 year of economics at another institution, I feel that it can possibly be insufficient compared to the econ at Columbia, so I am taking principles as a Pass/Fail since it is the only course you can take for Financial Economics as a Pass/Fail and still have it count toward a Fin. Econ Major; I dont want to take Intermediate Micro/Macro and risk the chance of not having enough of a basic understanding of micro/macro, so I might as well rebuild a solid foundation with econ since I will major in it any way.

Given that I transfer from New School where the courseload already heavy, and given that I had all graduate-level classes (with twice the workload as regular UG courses), I guess I’m trained and will go for the maximum number of credits allowed. I was told I couldn’t do more than 18 but if I could take 20/21 credits like at my previous university, it would be just great! I’m ready to have no social life lol

Random,

Good move on the principles part. If I had the money, and was willing to sacrifice the time, I’d be doing the same
