What do you guys see on your my.ucla.edu page under Residence For Tuition Classification? I'm not a citizen, but I am a permanent resident, and I sent all required documents on May 4th, for me it still says Pending. Isn't it taking too long? I'm starting to worry about it because as I get it, my financial aid depends on that classification, right? Anyways, does anyone have the same thing going on? Or is it time to call UCLA and ask what's up?

yea same here....I sent mine on 5th still says pending....I emailed them they said not to bother them by emailing (busy season blah blah blah) and that it usually takes 3 weeks to be up...

so i guess we should give them some more time?.. btw was the email that you got automated or from a real person?

that was from a real person

It was pending until a few days ago. Now it says resident. I sent in mine on the 27.

o 27th of April...then yea it's three weeks....for me three weeks will be next week..

ok then it should be up pretty soon for me too. so is that a reason why i can't see my eFan yet?

yea probably...

i am still pending .. i send mine on the 4th of may.

that is not why you cant see your eFAN, they are doing summer first, they arent making eFan pacakges until later on. like late summer.

but then how can you accept the housing offer and pay for your housing if you don't have your eFan? i thought we need to do it much erlier than late summer..

ok, well, if your a financial aid recipeint , you dont get billed for housing in that matter, its like Plan G or something, and you get billed each quarter or something to that effect, so that you get billed at each of your financial aid disbursment periods.

And also when you get your housing offer i think you have to make a deposit, not pay the full amount.

what kind of documents were you guys required to submit for the residence classification? Did you have to submit W2 forms or lease agreements? I'm a CA resident, but I'm afraid I don't have enough hard proof to qualify for resident tuition.

i didnt have to submit anything for the residence clarification, but i went to a california comunity college,...... so maybe that was why, they had concrete prove i been here or something

i had to send a copy of my green card (permanent resident card), well.. plus the regular SIR form with dates of my residence in CA. That's about it i guess.

^wow thanks. I hope it's that easy for me. I also attended CCC, but my parents aren't CA residents. I filed my own tax returns, even though I earned very little money during the year. But I'm afraid that might raise red flags with the school (they might think my out of state parents supported me financially or something).

i just had to send in copy of mine, my father's and my mother's green card...thas it

hey Citan, have you got any changes on your residence status on my.ucla? cuz i think it's been three weeks by now and mine is still pending. I'm getting really worried!

mine says resident as of yesterday

doh...still pending

I have a problem. It's not about residency. I just found out my mum got a phone call from ucla(310-825-4321, 4321 sounds funny-.-) at 8pm tonite , but she doesn't speak english, and she just said hello and ended the call. Should I just call the same # tomorrow?
