For those waitlisted at UCSB.. Is there any hope for UCD!?

I, along with a lot of people I know, have been waitlisted at UCSB. According to last year’s acceptances, did people still get into UC Davis but not UCSB??? And when do UC Davis admissions come out!?

Thurday… March 24 from what has been posted. Good luck.

yea, my thoughts exactly!! i was waitlisted for SB but i REALLLYYYY X infinity want to go to davis.

last year Davis was a little more difficult then sb for bio. Just depends on your major.

gah >_> im a bio major

Ugh I’m a bio major too… Maybe I should have put undecided. gaaah

idk though, cause wouldn’t it be hard to switch into bio after going in under undecided? gahhhh im soooo nervous now

@bookworm Yes! Thats exactly what I thought, which is why I didn’t go undecided to begin with. And don’t you think they’d want someone who knew their major rather than someone who was going in undecided. Man this wait is the most RIDICULOUSLY nervewrecking thing EVER

yea, exactly!

It really is!!! the closer it gets, the more nervous i become. applying to Davis “oh pshh, this is like a safety” one month to go “ehhh… i think i’ll get in” now “PLEASE LET ME INNN!!!”

Thats EXACTLY what I thought about UCSB!!! while I was applying this was my mentality “oh I can put whatever major I want, I’m getting in for sure…” Yeah right I was being so stupid… ugh great.

Has anyone called and asked when Davis would be releasing information??

last year, my friend was waitlisted at UCSB, but he got into UCD as a bio major, so it is definitely possible.

What were your friend’s stats??

3.6 gpa and around 1750 SAT if i can remember correctly. i think he didn’t get into UCSB because of how many people from my school applied there.

you don’t realize how thankful i am for that mandypandy =D of course im not going to let the confidence go to my head but still, there’s some hope

the 2.3 GPA you had your freshman year might hurt you though. my friend had a consistant 3.6 GPA all throughout high school. you have a good SAT score though. good luck!

@bookworm: of course there’s still hope! good luck! i hope you all get in!

for me it’s: f:3.65/3.8 s:3.16/3.0 j:4.0/4.33 s:4.2/in progress

I added this little blurb about soph year, writing more eloquently about how i took 7 classes, no electives, and my baby sister was born that year.
