While at this point there isn't a whole lot left to do, I hope many of you have taken my past advice and contacted your admissions counselor and kept in touch. That seems to be all they want, for you to show a strong interest and to just show improvement / continued success in school. They want to know that YOU are interested, not your parents or your guidance counselor but YOU.

Don't believe what people have "heard" on these boards about getting in off of the waitlist...few people really know what they're talking about. I was admitted off the waitlist on (Friday.. ironic) May 13th last year and just finished my freshman year at ND (and loved it). I have kept in touch with my admissions counselor and I am well aware of their situation at this point in time. They have a tough time deciding but what I've learned is that they like students to contact them themselves, to just keep in touch and show a passion for the school.

I was recently in my counselor's office visiting and saying hello. We started discussing this year's waitlist and she made it sound like they'd be taking less than last year, but still something around 50ish. So don't lose hope... and don't listen to those people who "heard from so and so", the only way to really know is to talk with the people making the decision, as I hope many of you have done throughout the process.

Best of luck to all... I hope many of you join the class of 2010!
