for those who applied to many colleges

I'm planning to apply ED to my college of choice. If they reject me, I'm planning to use common app and apply to around 10 schools. I will also apply to two state schools as safeties.

How would I ask teachers for that many recommendations. I'm planning to ask them for a teacher rec right when I get back to school for my ED choice. Should i right off the bat ask them to make photo copies because I'll be applying to many schools if I get rejected from ED?

How have you students who wants in my same position handle your teacher recs. Have you ever asked a teacher for 13 recommendations?

I asked a teacher for 9...you can photocopy...if your teacher used Microsoft Word, they can print out extra copies and just attach them to the rec forms...it's really not a big deal.

Yeah same here, eleven of my apps were common app and the 12th wasn't, all they [my teachers] did was write one essay, wrote see attached on the common app as well as on the 12th rec, they did all the checkboxes and we photocopied the common app recs and we were done, it goes by really quickly.

oh i c. so a teacher wouldn't write a lesser of a teacher rec if they find that you're applying to so many schools?

Yes, they would not write a lesser recommendation, they would write a good quality recommendation because in reality they only do one per student and then just do some simple paperwork

thanks for the info.
I'm still trying to compile a list of schools to apply. I still don't have a solid list. Anybody know any solid premed schools for a 2000-2100 SAT, solid EC, perfect GPA? I feel like I have too many reaches on my common app list.
