For those who are granted 20,000 in Financial Aid

@allfieldsarereq: I mean, I was 100% down for SD but they waitlisted me and accepted me 2 months later which annoyed the heck out of me. Even though SD has a beach and I’m obsessed with the beach, I think SB would be something to look forward to bc the beach is nearby. Idk but I get why the beach is so hyped up. I guess it’s all those international students who don’t live near the beach LOL. Idk.

I’m excited.

lol!

For me it was the distance and the lack of access to anything that steered me away from SB

I hated the 405 and the 101 traffic

Decided to safe myself the hassle of moving and save a lot of money just by commuting from home.

Lawlking: how far do you live from the UC you’re going to? Wish I could commute too but 200 miles is a LITTLE too much hahaha

I don’t live that far from UC-Irvine–literally 5-7 minute drive from my house.

Lucky you!

Have fun at SB

Weren’t you going to plan on going to SD?

@lawlking man I would do anything to live closer to Irvine like Torrance, I wanna taste that fresh marine layer every morning haha

@Acoustickitty123 200 miles? I think you can make it with a prius ;)

@Fred you won’t smell the marine air that much! lol. SB is the best bet for that kinda stuff
Irvine has +250k people living here plus it’s also located more inland so the air quality drops pretty quick…but it isn’t anywhere near L.A. bad
