For those who are knowledgeable about the Math SAT 2...

Hey so I am looking to apply to good engineering schools. Like UVA VT Carnegie Mellon Georgia Tech rice and a few others...

I scored a 770 on math two. This apparently was kinda low on the percentile scale. Because I took the ACT (33 composite and 35 math) I am sometimes not required to submit sat twos.

My question is whether a 770 on the math sat 2 would be a positive or negative thing.

Don’t worry. It is with the mid 50 even for MIT.

Definitely negative. If you score anything less than 800 it means you’re automatically rejected from every single university you apply to. Sorry.

Okay but seriously relax. 770 is a great score and won’t do anything but help. Unless you’re applying to MIT where probably the better 3 quarters have 800s I don’t think it will hurt at all, especially for schools that don’t require SAT IIs if you took the ACT in the first place.

I agree completely with truust.
