for those who did better than a 2000?

I pretty much did the exact same thing as hamsi. Get sleep. Don't cram.

If you're feeling particularly ambitious, memorize Strunk and White. If not, just read, read, read, read, read.

I got a 2370.

buy a practice book and go over practice tests.
dont take a class its a waste of money if u ask me.
i got a 2060..but idk im a gangsta

2400

See thread.

I didn't prepare for the SAT.
2150.
If I actually prepared for it, and took it a third time,
I would definitely have a 2300+.

shrug

Alea iacta est.

i took it cold...

snap660- I really like Up Your Score. Its mainly strategy, not really any practice questions. But far more interesting to read than any other SAT Prep book I've read. :)

Blue Book, everything else I found was useless.

Official tests, go through them and PSATs if you have to. Online course is good as well.

2250

Blue Book, Barron's math workbook ( i suck at math), Barron's 2400 book (didn't really read the entire thing tho) and hte Barron's SAT book. i think the Barron's SAT math workbook really helped me. i ended up only missing 3 on the actual thing , versus missing 12 or 13 on practice tests. Only the curve was terrible so i ended up with a 730. I got a 800 on the CR through reading; i didn't memorize any flashcards really, but i'm an avid reader anyway so that helped. I especially like old fashioned literature such as Jane Austen and Dickens so the CR passages were right up my alley.the writing.. was practice, practice, practice. and memorization of grammar rules. i messed up my essay (10...eekk!) but i got a 750 (only missed 2 on m/c ).

I did three of the practice tests in the Blue Book - they help. Didn't really bother with the strategies in there.

I got a 2210.
