did you do practice essays before the sat?
like did you sit down with one of the prompts and write about it for 25 minutes?
how much did it help?

I did a couple on my own and a couple in my English class. It helped somewhat. I’d recommend doing at least one or two.

It’s always good to do practice essays, even though it is being scored.
For me, it helped a lot because it helped me study literature, historical, etc. examples as well and it was good time practice. Try timing yourself for 25 minutes and then do 20 minutes after a few practices.

i agree with superexcited, all the examples I used on my latest essay were examples I had previously thought and wrote about on practice tests, this enabled me to write the full two pages quickly and easily, leaving more time for advanced vocabulary, sophisticated sentence structure, etc.

And I meant to say ‘even though it isn’t being score’, sorry for the confusion, if there was any.
