For those who got a 4 or 5 on the AP Calculus BC Exam; read

5 on bc an ab

last frq (#6) was a bit nasty. The MC was moderate. I think I got an 80% overall on the test

i got a 5 on bc and ab. I knew how to approach all of the questions, but I walked away from the test feeling like I made A LOT of stupid mistakes.

…The curve is generally pretty easy. Around 60% of the MC and 5 pts on each of the FRQs will get you a 5. So you can easily screw up one of the FRQs and still get a 5. My teacher has taught both AB and BC Calc for years and she says that’s about how much you need for the low end of a 5. Most people leave knowing they’ve made mistakes but still get 5s. I messed up most of the last one and definitely missed a number of MC, but I was still confident I’d got a 5, which I did. I guess if you do enough practice tests you know how easy it can be to get a 5.

I’ve read another post on CC and 66.7% or so was a level 5 that year. The Princeton Review’s Chemistry says that a 50/75 is a 5.

You gotta love the curves. (Not to mention Edna’s)

When was the PR published?

2007, did it change that much?

About two-thirds of the FR was terribly difficult for me but I aced the multiple choice and got a 5.

I got a 5. I can’t really say because I thought it was pretty easy… I scored a 95 on the 2003 exam when we took it as a “real practice test”. I’d say it will probably be very similar to past years, maybe a little more generous.

I thought the MC was really easy, -3 or 4 wrong max. FR was easy also except I made some dumb mistakes, I got most of the last FR though.

5 on BC, 5 on AB subscore

I did amazingly on MC (like 1 blank, one wrong) and completely BSed the last free response

nvm 10char

Me and my Calc AB/BC buddies thought the test to be surprisingly simple. The multiple choice was much easier than the practice tests I had taken. I remember actually doing well on the last FR, but it was definitely the hardest question on the test.

Edit: Double 5’s
