For those who got in.....

Could you post your stats please? I'm a junior and McGill's average GPA/SAT range is a little murky- I'd like to get an idea of where I stand (GPA:4.0W/3.2 UW, SAT Score: 1350/2190).

Also, I know there's a "B+ GPA minimum" according to the website, but does this take difficulty of classes into account? I have a B average right now, but that's with all honors and APs- would I be automatically out of the running? My (AP) English grade is an A, if that helps at all- that was a requirement listed on the website for the humanities program, which is the one I will be applying to.

oh, and I forgot to mention, i’m american

Your SAT is where it needs to be; your GPA might be low. I doubt you’d be automatically eliminated, but I don’t know how strong your chance is. (Also remember that McGill does not consider Grade 9, so that could dramatically change your cumulative GPA.)

Just curious: if you got 1350 on CR/M and 2190 on CR/M/W, wouldn’t that require an 840 on the Writing section?

Edit: Since you asked to see my own stats, they were UW GPA 91.5%, ACT 34 (E34, M33, R32, S35, E/W33), SAT W740 M750 CR800, SAT II US800 WH790 IC700. My friend got in with a slightly lower average, probably UW 90%-91%, lower SATs (~1350) and SAT II WH 760 and chemistry or bio ~700. (I wish I knew more specifics - sorry!)

haha sorry, that was a typo- i got a 2140 altogether (780 on the writing section).

i’m still wondering about difficulty of classes, though- i easily could have just taken regular classes throughout high school and ended up with a 97% average, but I took all APs and honors and ended up with an 85%. hopefully they take this into account!
