did you guys send in your midterm grades?
and also, does wash u notify you by mail or online

No mid-terms. And I WILL NOT send them in. Only final grades.

"No mid-terms. And I WILL NOT send them in. Only final grades."

lol.....man my grades have been falling. I hate computer science with a passion!!!!!!!

Notification by checking status online and I too will not be sending in midterms as I need to salvage some B's into A's.

But, a word of caution to all of us grade relaxing:

These transcripts will still be required when applying for grad. school. Though the grades will not be factored into the GPA, they could very well be seen.

Thus, try to maintain a consistent work ethic throughout the semester. As it is, there are only 6 more weeks until final exams. Next year at WashU or wherever we end up, we will HAVE to work as hard or even harder (or just smarter) to score well.

I have been working so hard up until this point only to GAIN ADMISSION. Now, with admission secure (and a definite ability and intent to attend, unlike my high school acceptances), I must ensure that when I start classes next year, I am prepared to succeed.

Just my thoughts.

Definitely. I took a lot of courses, and probably the most difficult courseload I could have chosen, just for that reason. But I agree it is a huge pain to have several months left at my current school - I am not tired of school at all, just this school

hey brand_182 and guys,

you meant that when you guys applied as transfer to wustl you didn't send in your mid terms progress report ? So do you think i should ? As my progress report now isn't that good. Cause I too desperately need to work my ass off to salvage those A's.

I think you would have to do so now. Brand and the others applied at the VERY BEGINNING of the application process (season) where:
1)Mid term grades were not available
2)They would not be necessary in the evaluation because WashU turns around apps in 30 days.

I think many other applicants will send in mid term grades. I guess what you could do is...apply without them. Wait a little bit and then if they ask for it, send them your grades. Realize though, that you will need to work harder should they require your grades be sent over.

hahahahahaha. ok. Hmm...but my greatest worry is that they might deem my application as incomplete.

See I really don't want to do this but I think I MIGHT send in only 3 of my subjects ( which are quite good ) and not the fourth one which my lecturer told me he will put in as C+. So the college will only see 3 subjects as oppose to 4 subjects I'm taking.

Is that very risky? I'm only scared IF i get accepted then when I intend to transfer my credits they might refer back to my application. Then I'll be screwed. Haha.

wait- i sent in my midterm grades! Since I kinda felt I was a bit marginal w/ my chances of getting in, it woudl be a good idea (and i have all As) , and i think it did help me, because I was only working off one quarter of "good grades" when I turned in my app (if u look at my stats that i posted, my HS grades were crap).

and i'm in the same boat as Brand, i took a fairly rigorous courseload (2 quarters in a row now where I'm taking over 20 units), but I wish i could just get UCI over with.

are midterm grades required for all transfer applicants?
or just for sophomore transfers?

They aren't required for any fall transfer applicants.

Also, does anyone know when round 2 of decisions is released?

cav-i think round 2 was released about a week ago or thats at least when i heard.

and no i didnt and dont plan to send midterm grades.
