For those who scored above 700 in math

How did you prepare for the math sections on the test? That is, of course, assuming you actually prepared =)

Is there a particular book or something you would suggest I use to up my score? it's currently at 670 =(

Any advice is much appreciated.

I begining to sound like some sort of hired agent but... McGraw Hill (though I only scored a 700 it helped me a lot)

no... just look trhough ur alg/ii books or geometry... that's all really, get familiar with using the formulas and solving those probs...

no i disagree. :) The questions on the SAT are not the type you will be seeing in a highschool textbook. You need to familarize yourself with the manner in which the questions are going to be given to you. Some of the most difficult problems (think no.19, 20) use very basic formulas; you just have to recognize how to go about solving them

I did nothing. I'm actually quite upset with the score. I say...most importantly...work fast and don't make stupid mistakes. (aka ~ pratice pratice practice)

really... cuz it seems fairly straightforward... 790... should be an 800 for me... and i didn't really prep

yeah i got a 760M. last time i took it i got a 780M though and only missed one. SATs are out to trick you. im pretty bad ass at math but since i dont prepare for the types of SAT questions...i deserve a lower score than 800. i mean after the test i knew exactly which two math ones i missed because they were the ones i simply didnt have much time for. i figured them out in the car on the way home and i was like "eh, thats that, two ******** easy questions killed my 800" but what're you gonna do right?

hmm. i think im just gonna work through Barron's math lessons and questions while doing practice sections from collegeboard's practice book. y'all think that will suffice?

im going to be doing basically the same so it better :)
